The appeal of braces from a dentist in Orpington

We all have a lot of memories from our childhood, and many of them make us into the types of people that we are today. The childhood memories that we have vary greatly from person to person. For example, many of us can remember eagerly learning to ride our first bike, while others have fonder and more vivid memories of their favourite toys, books or games as a child. One thing a lot of people commonly remember though, is their first (or maybe a very early) experience of visiting a dental professional. While many of us may feel like this is a bad, or frightening memory, it is becoming increasingly common for people to remember how they felt fearful of their dentist in Orpington before going to visit them, but then once being inside the dental studio, discovering that there really wasn’t anything to be afraid of. While this is the case for many of us, often people still find that the fear of receiving dental treatments persists with them into adulthood. Furthermore, one treatment in particular that people are often nervous about receiving is braces. However, with the modern and varied types of braces available to us from a reputable dentist in Orpington, this does not need to be the case. Today we’ll take a look at some of the different types of braces that a patient can obtain from a dentist in Orpington and go over their many advantages, which should hopefully convince any and all of us reading that any fear of dental procedures involving braces is misplaced.

Before going over the treatments themselves though, it is important to think about where to go to get dental treatments. Types of braces

Two modern and interesting types of braces are Invisalign and Inman Aligners. These braces are both designed to shift teeth into more favourable positions for a patient over time. Invisalign, sometimes referred to as an invisible brace, is a type of brace that is worn over the front of the teeth. It consists of sets of clear, removable plastic aligners that are worn in order to push the teeth into desired positions over a period of time. Because the aligners are clear, it is almost impossible to tell if someone is wearing Invisalign braces, allowing patients the freedom to smile and show their teeth with confidence.

Inman aligners use a lingual coil and a labial bar to apply pressure to teeth in multiple directions, thus pushing and pulling them into better positions. The Inman Aligner works quickly and patients often find that using these braces can give them straightened teeth in as little as 6 - 16 weeks. There is a wide variety of braces available, so why not contact us for a consultation?
